Why Costa Rica
Costa Rica is a democratic country with a stable, forward thinking government with a positive attitude towards foreign investment. Unlike many other foreign countries the Costa Rican government allows foreigners to hold title on property here.
Over the past ten years Costa Rica has become a more popular vacation destination. With companies like Mariott, St Regis Hotels and Resorts, The Four Seasons and most recently Hyatt Hotels investing hundreds of millions of dollars into resort projects along the central and north pacific coast. These large investments have caused a significant growth in the local real estate market.
Construction costs are much lower here than they are in many other countries as well. A good work force comes at a much lower cost compared to the United States. A custom home costing $100 per square foot here would cost you anywhere from $250-$500 per square foot in the US depending on your location.
Costa Rica has an excellent quality of life with the highest health and education levels in all of Latin America. The country boasts a 95.8 percent literacy rate which rivals that of most developed nations. Wide access to health services, social security and an increasingly bilingual and well educated workforce are all factors that contribute to a high quality of life and make Costa Rica such an attraction for foreign investors. |
